My name is Peach – I am a local bike tour guide and one of the founders of “The Other Side of Bangkok”. I have been a bike tour guide for nearly 10 years and during those years have helped many visitors to explore Bangkok from a very different side.

My team and I will take you on cycling and boat tours around the areas locally known as The Other Side of Bangkok. Our mission is to show you the places that largely remain undiscovered by most of the tourist. Our aim is to offer the most unique, enjoyable and eco-friendly experience and to offer a rare insight into the life and culture of the local communities in and around Bangkok.

So, how much do you know about Bangkok?

Bangkog, or ‘Krung Thep’ (City of Angles) as local Thai people call it, is the capital and largest city of Thailand. The city is best known for its skyscrapers, shopping centers, business district, tuk-tuks and motorcycles on the street and its street food. Most visitors are well acquainted with well-known attractions such as the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha Temple, Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), the Reclining Buddha Temple (Wat Pho), the Flower Market and China Town.

But did you know that Bangkok has so much more to offer than just that? Bangkok also has ‘The Other Side’ which is on the opposite site of Chao Phraya River.

On The Other Side of Bangkok you will be able to see a more traditional way of Thai life, many traditional small waterways (the Khlongs) which still exist here, local markets, temples and many interesting places which are unknown to most visitors and tourists and even people who live in Bangkok!

As locals, we also promote the idea of Community-Based Tourism (CBT), cultural exchange and the preservation of local traditions to enable our customers to discover local habitats and wildlife and to cerebrate, learn and respect traditional cultures, rituals and wisdom to support local communities.

Come and Join us for a unique experience in Bangkok by bike and boat.

Our tour areas

Thonburi Side (For our tours: Bangkok’s Other Sights, Bangkok Way of Life, Bangkok Weekend Markets)
Thonburi is located on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River and was known as ‘The City of Treasures Gracing the Ocean’ or Krung Thonburi Sri Maha Samut. It was the former capital city of Thailand (or Siam) before Bangkok, which was the original village of Bang Kok (meaning “village of plums”). On the Thonburi side many of the local homes are still built along the many Khlongs (canals) rather than roads. It’s a great place to experience the more traditional side of Bangkok and to explore the charming villages that still thrive along these waterways.

Bang Kachao Side (For our tour: Bangkok Jungle Oasis)
Bang Kachao is the largest green area in the south of Bangkok, also known as ‘The green lung of Bangkok’. Bang Kachao is actually an island, part of Phra Pradaeng district, Samut Prakan province, adjacent to Bangkok. It’s a vast green area of orchards, gardens, plantations and forests to relax and recharge. Bang Kachao was also voted and named as one of the best urban oasis by Time Magazine in 2006. It became as one of the best place to cycle in Bangkok.
